About
Florian Bronk was born in Brazil and started playing the drum set at the age of ten. During his teenage years, he developed a deep passion for Rap, Jazz, Fusion, and traditional music from cultures around the world.
His journey into percussion began with studies under renowned Afghan percussionist Hakim Ludin, who provided him with a strong musical foundation and inspired his further exploration of rhythm and world music.
Florian went on to study Jazz Percussion at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg and Latin Percussion at the Hochschule für Musik Mannheim.
However, it is his private studies with some of the world's greatest musical masters that have most profoundly shaped his artistic voice and understanding of music.
He is a proud student of Patri Satish Kumar, Trilok Gurtu, and Selvaganesh Vinayakram.
Over the years, he has attended masterclasses and studied with outstanding musicians from around the world, including:
Vikku Vinayakram
Rhani Krija
Pete Lockett
John Santos
Horacio Hernández
Through these influences, Florian developed a unique musical language that bridges world music traditions, contemporary improvisation, rhythm, melody, and deep human connection.
